found this one, seems nice. Looks like is missing the traction control button tho. And don't know if i wanna v8, although makes more sense working on a v8 to make faster lol

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want a V8. More power, easier to work on, only 1 MPG less.
I wouldn't worry about the traction control button. It is probably there, just needs to be glued back in (common issue). It's a shame it doesn't have Advancetrac.
I'd be a little more concerned about the missing center vent panel where the message center buttons would be.

Needs work.... And a repo??? Why is the cap hiding the retaining screws missing from the drivers door panel? I've got over 118K on my '06 and my arm rest is still pristine. Where is the T/C button? Pushed through? How long has it "needed a tune-up"?

Too much wrong for me.........

That's easy to explain. They needed to take the door panel off (replace regulator?) and pried the cap from the wrong side and broke it off.

I agree, this one has not been taken care of well.

Ditto on the V8. Don't get a V6 for the MPG because the difference is negligible..... And that top!!!!!!!! barf.gif

Also, that front driverside airbag looks like it has deployed before. Not a good sign for any vehicle.

Picture 9, you can see the airbag outline really clearly, my steering wheel doesn't look like this. Is that normal? Looks like it deployed and they put it back together (not well).

The picture's not good enough to see well, but I think it's in the normal range. Some of the pictures at the end show it much closer and it looks like the cover is unbroken.
Of course, it's a valid point to be concerned about.

Once the bag has deployed it can't be repaired. A new one must be installed. One of my pet-peeves about my '06's is that the air bag outline is visible. It's not as noticeable on the '00.

The "repair" involves cutting the old bag out then gluing the cover back on. It never looks right after, because it isn't. Such a seller will make absolutely certain that you sign a receipt that says "as is" and will keep a copy to deflect any lawsuits. Should it come up, he'd say he sold it as a parts car. I've come across a few of these before.

Interesting..... But in that situation there is no air bag, correct? I guess I should have said no repair/replacement...

unfortunately ive seen a lot of steering wheels that look like that, it seems as they age, it shows more and more.

That is correct. No airbag, and unless you know what you are looking at you don't discover this until the next time the car is in an accident. It's amazing how hard some people will work to avoid fixing something correctly just because it'll cost a few bucks, and how they will do this to safety equipment, without feeling guilty at all, knowing that someone might die.

Well gentlemen, after a long days work, met up the mechanic of my original post. Had already checked basic stuff he also knew were notorious I.e coils stuff. Starts pouring rain so we are all inside the car including the salesman. The computer is plugged in an scanning. He was able to get a reading on everything except the engine for some strange reason. Also brings up how the gas was all of a sudden reading empty, when it was at half a tank when he turned on the car.

To sum it up, before I start rambling. Turns out the check engine light bulb, or whatever has been disconnected, so never would have turned on. And there was Some sort of short circuit.

As long as you're willing to travel, a good LS is out there!
