I am a student that purchased a 97 Mark VIII last year with 88,000 miles. Now there are some minor interior cosmetic defects in addition to an oil leak, but the car only has 97,000 miles on it. Would it be worth putting in the money to fix all the errors and continuing to use for a few more years, then selling? Or would it be smarter to just sell now to someone who might have more interest in the car? And if I were to wait, would the value of the car rise? Thank you for your help.

A lot of speculation in you post.
In my opinion if you can work on the car they are great to own but if you are paying for every problem to be fixed, you'll need to make good money or buy something else.
This goes for most older cars
