On the serpentine belt... the pulley.

no you have to take the belt and fold it and slide it between the pullys till you have it over the pullys like you need fold it so the ribs touch each other like a pants belt would when you pop it together that will get you through that tight space without taking anything off and if your asking about taking it off to get slack put a ratchet in the square it moves back and forth

If all you're changing is the belt, all you need is a 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar. You put the square end of it into the square hole on the tensioner assembly and push downward toward the ground. That will release tension on the belt and allow it to be removed. I usually release the tension and remove the belt from the alternator pulley first. Then you can let go of the tensioner and remove the belt the rest of the way. Hope that makes sense.
there are two pullies on the left side, can you clarify what your referring to?
There is the tensioner pulley that moves on an arm to keep the belt tight, hence the NAME "tensioner" and and idler pulley that doesnt move, hence the name idler pulley.
Good thing is, they are the exact same pulley.
What problem are you having Tony, I'm having a hard time figuring out what you are trying to do, and what the problem your having "IS".

To Change the belt no pulley's come off.
5 min job... go with the 1/2 breaker bar to release the tention. Then follow the diagram in the engine bay as to how to put the belt back on. Make sure the belt is on all pulleys and not lapping.

Good time to check idler and tensioner pulleys and spring condition.
Wouldn't mind a bit of elaboration on these points. Thanks for the help people. Whoever said it takes 5 minutes was right. Very easy.
