well the one mark i was looking at was a total bust. and thanks to bill i saved a trip to look at a rusted out POS. he took his personal time and checked out this car for me. :)

so now im searching for one again. gen 2 black, gray, or blue. i kinda really want a black on black, but im open to others. not looking for one that needs a lot of work. i want my first mark to be able to drive around when i buy it. if yall could help me out with some cars near me....like in FL. :) please and thank you all

Good luck... I would like to find a red with black interior 98 LSC to go with my 93 red with black Mark.

HA, when I went to look at this 98 for blacklscgirl yesterday, the neighbor has a Red with Black interior 97 model in the driveway. Beautiful looking car, the same neigbors and others were in their garage with friends poking their noses out watching me inspect the car for blacklscgirl and they then came over to look at mine. Turns out the person owning the red one is old and has converted the air ride to coils, and was trying to convince me to do the same. I asked him why would I want to do that, I love my air ride. Just because you prefer coil setup does not make it better. What a nut, old, senial, and irritable.

The one I inspected yesterday, was telling me I want 3,500.00, I wanted to tell him that you will be lucky to get 800.00, but since I was not the interested party or buyer and only there for someone else, I kept my mouth shut and listened to his Europe stories and his VW TD :(. Would of really been a waste of money and time to drive down to see this one if you want a DD, if a fixer upper you want, then a different story, then it would make a good garage queen for several months while you fix it.

Glad to be of help. :D

It is a Northern car with allot of rust issue down under, and the front end is trashed, needs new UCA and LCA, all new bushings. The cats are rusted thru, resulting in a exhaust leak. The car has been bottom out before and ripped the oil pan, whoever owns it tried patching it and did a :q:q:q:qty job at it. Leaks like crazy. The oil pan gasket leaks all the way around, and the rear main seal is blowing. The engine has no power to get out of its way, and the steering is so freaking harsh and none responsive due to the front components. The power steering line leaks, and other minor crap. The trunk molding pieces are broken. There is a draw tite junction box mounted in the air ride switch area and wires are running thru out the trunk. It has been towed with allot, the interior is in need of a serious cleaning. The P/S door took forever to open, tried from the inside and outside and finally after pushing on it hard it opened. And many more small issues.

Oh yeah, the rims are on back wards

anything positive?

The body itself was the best part of the car, the interior was rip free. But other than that, it was your average beat on and neglected Mark VIII. Shame too, I loved the color combo it had.Do not get me wrong, if I was looking for a fix-r-upper, and did not need a instant DD, I would buy it for no more than $700.00 to $800.00 at most.

Buy Laser's car, and get a flawless car. Fitting car for a young girl such as yourself. Look at what 10k gets you used. A Toyota Camry, Nissan Versa, Dodge Caliper, or you can get a Supercharged Mark VIII.

he said something is messed up with the front end and the front tires are trashed, thats not flawless!!!! sexy as hell, but not flawless

That 96 is sweet Jamie, the interior is nice, but if it was mine, I would of never had the black ribbing done on the seats, would of looked better with tan ribbing.

it is a good looking car, but i think i am going to hold out for my perfect mark for my first one...when i want something a little different that would be a cool car. thank you for helping me :)

Sh*t, that sucks for you all. I was hoping it would work out. Good thing you didn't waste your time, that would make it worse.

The more I look at some marks for sale out there, the prices, the conditions, etc., the more I realize my car was a good deal, and that the cash I have in it wasn't a waste. I was feeling pretty crappy about all the repairs I ended up doing, but now, all is said and *mostly* done, and at around half of the prices range you are shopping in I feel like I have a good car. Even though I am sure I will regret saying it, there are very few problems with my car right now.

Keep looking you will find the right deal.
