Ok so remember me? Hahai finally got my ls out of the shop after two months. I got my trans, clutch, slave cylinder, and fly when replaced. So after I get it back, I decided its time for an oil change. So I take it over to my local meineki. (or however you spell it). I tell them my car takes 7 quarts of 5w20. I get it back and everything cool. Next day im driving and my oil light blinks and flickers and stays on. Randomly. I pull over and look under the car and I was dripping a little bit of oil. I checked my oil the day of the change and it was fine. When I pulled over I also checked and my reading int he dipstick was perfect. Why is my oil light coming on? I went to get another oil change. This time i watched them and took pictures of everything so i could show meineki. My oil bolt was stripped, so was my pan hole that the bolt goes into. The magnetic bolt has metal shards attached to it. The oil that was drained looked like dirty water. Looking into my oil pan with a light, we could see bits of metal shards also. One of the threads from the stripped oil pan ripped the o ring gasket that goes around the bolt. Oil had leaked all over the bottom of my car and some onto the oil filter. (before taking the plug out). Im guessing because the ripped o ring? So after they did another oil change, I drove for a little and the light came on again.

The light only comes on at a low rpm after the car is warmed up. When its on, if I rev it then it goes off but once the rmps come back down it goes on again.

Help me!

you could have a oil pump on its way out

what kind of filter did they use, i had this problem in my mark with a fram filter

ok, sounds like

if you're dripping oil, you have a leak and the oil pressure will not build up. you may have a bad oil sensor, mine went bad about 120k after an oil and filter change. So I put a new sensor in, the oil sensor was leaking oil i found. After installing a new sensor the light still came on.......strange so i checked the dip stick, a tiny bit low just below the max. I added oil to bring it up to the max line and the oil light went out! No problems after that.

Im really leaning towards the crank bearings wearing because of what meineki did. Its only a matter of time before it starts knocking
