Hi, first of all I'm new to the forum so please forgive any mistakes. I own a 2000 Lincoln LS V8. I've been having a little trouble with it. About a month ago I noticed a s burnt oil smell in the car while driving. After checking, there was a leak causing oil to get on the engine. I had it repaired for an oil leak that required the valve covers, a new spark plug, a new coil pack, a new gasket on the manifold to be replaced. Also the car was fixed for leaking power steering fluid. Just today before I drove I noticed several small stains on the road that I assumed to be oil stains. The car drives fine, no high temperature reading or anything but the check engine light was on. Also there isn't a burnt oil smell in the car this time like before. I was just wondering of anyone had some trouble shooting tips to narrow the possible problems down to hopefully fix the oil leak without major costs as I'm a college student. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
