I have a 94 Mark VIII. It is leaking oil from the bolts that hold the oil filter mount to the engine block. it only leaks on cold start ups. once the engine warms it stops. any solutions???

Have you tried a new filter? When you put a filter on did you lubricate the gasket with some oil or did you put it on dry?

It's got to have a gasket. If the filter is tight then it probably just needs the gasket replaced. The gasket should only cost a few dollars.

Thanks, after 135000 miles I guess the gasket between the oil filter adapter and block is shot.no leaks before ,this just started .I just wanted to be sure before I replaced it. I hear its a pain to change. Thanks again!!!
