I seafoamed the oil in my 122k engine, drove 60 miles then changed the oil.

I had a small oil leak before, but now a little puddle shows up instead of drops. I learned seafoam can remove sludge buildup and basically make a leak worse, nice. I didn't drive the car for 2 days, started it up in cold weather (40 degrees) and about 20 or so drops of oil dripped out from I think around the sending unit area (hard to tell, car was on the ground). I already replaced the sending unit over the summer.

Drove around my complex for 30 sec, parked, looked under and the fast oil leak stopped. It still leaks a small puddle when parked. Think it's the oil filter adapter gasket? I heard sometimes it can be some other bolt that needs tightening? What do you think about this idea? Link http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Change_gasket_on_oil_filter_housing

Spray area clean with Degreaser/Brake parts cleaner, recheck with car up

Those sending units suck and leak like crazy.. I've had to replace 3 back to back until I got a good one

I am on a second oil sender in a few months. Will have to wrap the threads in white tape on the next one.
