Official LS Car Audio Thread/Install Pictures

I thought I would start this since I have not found one around here. This would be great for tips on how to install car audio in the LS, hide wires, brackets, harness, audio discussion on equipment, amp racks and the custom car audio work we have done to our LS's. As well, pictures of our work too.

Here is my Beige 05 LS and the custom Job. I have build an amp rack and mounted it in the trunk with the sub woofer box behind it. Running 2 batteries (Optima Red and Yellow)

Equipment:
Ample Audio A 240 2 Channel
Ample Audio 5 channel
U.S. Amps 2000X - 2000 Watts RMS A/B Class mosfets.
Pioneer 5.8'' inch Double din DVD touch screen deck

Speakers
Sub: 2X Pioneer Champion series pro - 1000 watts RMS 3500 peak Sealed box
Low Mid: 2X Vifa/peerless 8"inch Drivers
Mids Rear Door: Audax/polydax Woven Fiber 5-1/4 inch
Tweeters Rear Door: Vifa/peerless D28 Silk dome
Mids Front Door: Currently STOCK -- To be installed, Audax Aerogel 5-1/4
Tweeters Front Door: Currently STOCK -- To be installed, Seas D27 Silk dome tweeters.

Equipment:
Distinct Audio 4 channel

Speakers:
2X Factory Subs
Rear doors: Pioneer 6X8 Woven Fiber car audio drivers with 1 inch soft dome tweeters
Front doors: Vibe audio 5-1/4 mids with 1inch tweeters.

I at one point had subs in this car, but decided to lighten it and remove it. Leave it to the 05 to be the "Show" car.

Will get pics of the doors speakers later as well. Nothing too special, I just decided to put car audio drivers in this car.

Not only that something looks off on that I bezel That is in that car. It appears to be inset more than the rest of the dash pieces.

most of the ones i have seen are all really far set back, most radios faces are much thicker, especially any that have moving or removable faces. the AVICS and AVH models seem to have the shallowest face plate, i know i dremeled around a 1/4" off to get a more flush fit

Depends on the maker of the Bracket. Yes its inset a little. My 02 is flush ( I have a pioneer in the 02 as well). For some reason, that's how the bracket is with my 05.
Doesn't bother me tho. Hardly noticeable when you sit in the car. Actually, it looks stock when in person. Cameras have a way of.. making things look funnier than they really are.

As for the silver and black mismatch, I'm gonna spray those silver pieces black. I dislike the silver very much, its cheesy.

Wow! Nice work man! That honestly looks like it came stock. I was contemplating fiber glass. But I don't know what dimensions and specification to build them considering these Pioneers have a deep basket..
