Ok, so I was driving my 02 the other night, when I got a couple of phantom wipes. This didn't concern me at all, as it happens every now and then.
Anyway, after the phantom wipes, the "Low washer fluid" alert showed up, but the bottle was full. As soon as this happened, the wipers ceased to work. I have checked all of the fuses and relays, and everything appears fine.
I unplugged the washer tank sensor, and now the wipers work when I wash the windshield, but still do not work when I turn them on.
I also unplugged the rain sensor on the windshield to no avail, and even tried spraying the hose at it while plugged in to see if they would activate. No dice.
FEM issue? I'm really boggled on this one, as I feel the wipers wouldn't work when using the windshield washer if the FEM was to blame.
Help!
