It's wrong to hang anyone in effigy.
But hanging Palin is a political, partisan statement.
Hanging something like an Obama is hateful and racist, but it's not partisan politics. Had that been the case, we would have seen John Kerry's hanging on the University campus. So that's simply about racial hate. This does not dismiss or diminish the seriousness of the action, but I'm seeking clarification behind the motivation.
Nobody is calling racist behavior "republican". While historically the GOP may not have been a party to racism, the history of the GOP is evolving. It just so happens that most of the people these days who wear their racism on their sleeves associate themselves w/ the GOP.
And it would just so happen that terrorist, radical marxists, anarchists, and the international enemies of this country align themselves with the Democrat party. You don't have Middle Eastern phone backs making calls supporting McCain, do you?
Furthermore, I disagree with your claim that those who where racism on their sleeves identify with the GOP, it's also completley unsupportable as well. You're making the claim based on your warped desire to label Republicans as racists. The truth being that the DEMOCRAT party tolerates racism(black racists, old klan members,ect) and advances policy that subjugates minorities to generations of government dependence on their party.
