I just bought an LS and right after I got it the check engine light came on. I had it checked out and it turned out to be the Catalytic Converters, both of them were bad. They gave me a quote of $353 each Cat. There's no way I was paying that much. I looked into high flow universals but since our Cats are at an angle it would be a challenge. So I found a company that sells O2 Simulators that give a constant positive feed to the car saying that that sensor is good, or that the cats are good. I had a friend cut the cat in half and gut it then weld it back together. With that and the Simulator no more Check engine light. I didn't know if anyone else had tried this or not but just thought I would put it out there. The website is www.o2simulator.com and they have a universal dual output simulator for $40.
