Did you replace the 02 sensors before then? Seems strange that one would be bad again so soon? What's that code you got? That a lean code? Just wondering if something else like a vac leak could cause the code?
If they are relatively new, I guess you could take them back out, clean them and switch them around? See if code goes or moves?
Well, I have to remember which 02 sensor I just replace last year. I know that a vaccum leak can be suttle and I might have to get the carb spray out but do you know where to look? I am going to re-test with the scanner. Last year I replaced the passenger side cat and collector, my 02 sensors were bad and to much fuel had entered the cats but since then everything has been fine. I really need to get this figured out because I don't want to smell gas and ruin my new cat.
So you have one new 02 sensor and one old? Normally you should replace them as a pair. Vacuum leak on a 95? Could be anywhere really - check those little black pipes on top of the engine (common leak point) check the IMRC's, also check the intake tube is tight etc. You should find a leak easily enough with the carb cleaner. Any small leak / unmetered air entering engine could cause a slightly lean condition.
Well, I did the carb cleaner to see if there were any leaks and nothing happen so I look at all of the vaccum lines, check the IMRC solenid lines check all of the driver side vac lines and no leaks. Went to the passenger side and I found the air tube hoses had split part way and just barely hanging on. I did notice that the previous owner only had the hoses tie rap on so I did the right and clamp all of the new hoses that I put everything back on. So I am happy to report that after checking for codes, none came up and the car idles a lot better and I have better throttle response and no check engine light. Thank you for all your help.
