Hey, I just bought a black/black '93 Mark about a month ago and the overdrive off button has never worked. I read the writeup and went to replace the wire with one from a '94 Cougar. I connected the ends of the busted wire and the light turned on. But as I was replacing it the old wire shorted on a metal bracket while I had the ignition on, and now the o/d light wont come on.

Is there a fuse I can replace that'll fix the o/d button and the light?

Welcome! I have done the exact same thing myself. Check the fuses in the panel at the end of the driver's side dashboard.

I think it's a red 10 amp, at the left side of that fuse panel. Ah... you'll know it when you see it.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll look for that fuse tomorrow when its light out.

This looks like a great site and I've really enjoyed owning a Mark thus far. Its rust free, has 115K miles, every option, and is a nice compliment to my black/black '91 Taurus SHO 5spd. I'd post pics of the Mark but I only have some from the 1st day I got it, when it was covered in road salt
