NYC Mechanics?

Hey all,

Who do you know and trust to work on your cars in NYC/Long Island? My 2000 LS V8 needs some engine and ignition love that I'd normally do myself but I'm completely swamped. Who in the area do you recommend? Prefer an independent shop and their more affordable rates, but a great dealer is fine too.
