..NY front license plates..

Hey. I am from Long Island NY and I just bought a nice black license plate with a large silver lincoln emblem. I am going to put it on my front. It looks really nice but I wanna now anyone from the Ny area [or even any area that requires a front plate] know if cops give you a hard time with this. I've seen people put their plates on the dash when they dont have a front one. could i do that and get away with it?

i also have many police cards so i could probably get out of a small ticket like that if i were to get pulled over for it. also anyone know what the ticket is for it?

..my dad drives a 04' rumblee truck without a front plate and has never had an issue, he doesnt even have a front bracket...but he may just be one of the lucky ones.

Yes they will, I used to live in NY and go to LI all the time....and I got alot of crap for havin my plate inside my truck on the dashboard so it would not get stolen.....so they will if you do not have the state plate on the front.

I got ticketed for it years ago on Staten Island. I can only see it being worse on Long Island because the cops out there are jerkoffs. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

For no front plate even though I had it on the dash. And the only reason I didn't have it on the front of the car was because some moron backed into my car and ripped the bracket off, which I told the cop but he didn't care. I forget how much it was or how many points because it was almost 6 years ago. Just not worth getting pulled over for to me.
