Hi everyone,

Thus far I have not found a thread that matches my problems... Recently I took a vacation and I came back and noticed a noise while driving the car ( didnt drive car for 2 weeks)

Other night, Road was wet. While i was driving. ~60MPH I let off the throttle and I could hear a noise from read passenger side. Like a flat tire or a back firing sound, not overly loud but subtle.

It would go away when I get back on the throttle. Next day I listened for it. It was not there. IT's done it one more time since then been about 4 days between.

I think either a bearing, flat spot in tire. Or something to do with gas.

2000 v8 sport pkg. Almost 81k on the ticker.

Also, More then likely I'm having coil problems still.. Some days the car will pull and have power. Other days it is slow and seems like its struggling.

I agree....i had that happen to me once on one of my cars....it sounded like i had a flat than it went away and i never heard of it again....so i figured, must not have been anything important.....my worse idea ever.....So i kept driving it until one day the hub almost came off the car, lucky enough the bearings jamed it up and held it on other wise i would have lost the tire.....anyway, i would defenetly check out the hub :)

Thanks.

is the link i provided the correct part?

Also, I should take into consideration the tires on the car are down to the wear bars. :q:q:q:qty continental contacts.

I dont know how the exhuast is routed but, if you said kinda like a backfire. Could be a hole in the exhaust too. I had the same on another car.
