Noobie to LVC forums.

I am a brand spankin' new member to the LVC forums and a brand new Lincoln LS owner. Just thought I'd post a little introduction for myself and inquire about things anybody else has done to their V6 LSs.

I am a proud owner (in my second week of ownership) of a 2002 LS V6 manual transmission. I plan on upgrading the stereo, intake and exhaust. Wheels and tires are down the road a little bit. But, what other performance options are out there for the V6 LS?

Also, I just thought I'd represent the V6s... every post I've seen on here boasts that the V8 is the only way to go. I must say, my five speed V6 is tons of fun to drive. Of course its not a race car, but, we all know how great these cars are to drive. I just couldn't own this type of car without a manual tranny.. so V6 it was.

try looking at the sct flasher....... its just a tuner that allows you to re-program the pcm (ecu) to get better performance out or your mods and car.

While you are by no means the only V6 owner here, you do have a somewhat rare ride, since the 2002 model was the last year the manual transmission was offered. The production numbers of the manual transmission cars declined quite a bit between 2000 and 2002 due to very low demand.

Looks like you are already aware of the intake and exhaust options available. Those mods are the major ones that are relatively easy to add. Other mods, like reprogramming the computers, are a bit more ambitious. I'm not sure how many other people have done it successfully (I don't recall if Lou Senko was successful, but knowing him, he likely was).

The number should be around 2000.
