So I located the drain plug but how do I remove it??? What tools should I use?

Why do you want to remove it?
Normally, you just unscrew it until coolant pours out of the port above it pointing to the right.
To remove it, I guess that you unscrew it all the way and then pull down on it pretty hard, but I've never tried to remove it.

I guess im wrong... I wanted to drain the radiator of all the coolant and thought you had to completely remove it...Do I need a hex key to unscrew it until coolant comes down or can I do it by hand

You may be able to do it by hand. I use an adjustable wrench on the outside of the hex nut to loosen it. When it's time to tighten it back up, hand tighten only or be very careful to use only light force with the wrench.

... to drain the radiator of all the coolant ...

be sure to open the top when ready to drain, as in, remove the degas bottle cap and the engine coolant fill cap on the Tstat housing.
doing so will allow air in as it drains out and speeds up the process as well it ensures it drains fully and correctly.

I trust you have all parts ready and available at time of opening the cooling system.
