Just bought a 02 black lse with 47k. I have a question regarding the magnaflow
System 15710 and a lse. All I have to do is change tips or reuse mine to make it work right?

The Magnaflow system is not a direct swap on the LSE's. The exhaust tips will not line up with the exhaust port cutouts. You would need to re-route the tips to the opening using some "s" pipes or similar. However, a local muffler shop can make quick work of that.

Thanks. Bought a intake and filter from your site last night. Cant wait to get it :bigthumb:

Im wondering if I should just do the magnaflow and reuse the tips or do a custom exhaust. Any opinions?

Either way. The MagnaFlow is a good fitting unit, very mild not to loud at all. To quite for some. They say it will get a little louder after a few hundred miles...not really. Mine is getting just a smidge louder now that it has 40k on it. FYI it is only 2.25" they advertise it wrong.

If you want louder or bigger, no more than 2.5",definately go custom. The LS exhaust is pretty staight forward so any decent shop should handle it well with choice of mufflers.

I might just stop at a local shop to see what they will charge for an install of the magnaflow vs. what they will charge for a custom catback. That 500 dollar deal is hard to pass up though sigh

Yep a good deal indeed. I paid just slightly less just cause my brother works at a exhaust supplier and it was in stock.

I'm satisfied with my decision.

Remember, with the Magnaflow you get a great deal. High quality stainless all the way to the cats. It's a beautiful system. Adds power and sound without taking the class away from the LS. Click on the link in my signature to hear it.

I had my bud Nick do up a custom 2.5" exhaust with a Magnaflow mid muffler, two Magnaflows out back and Magnaflow tips. Just recently had him weld in an X pipe for me and it sounds awesome. Not too loud, but just loud enough. I get compliments at traffic lights all the time.

Been there, done that with the loud ass exhaust. Got tired of the attention from the cops. Besides, loud doesn't always equal fast. ;)

Bull:q:q:q:q. Next you'll be telling me that my "NOS" stickers don't make me faster. Shows what you know.

;) :D :D :D

It's only the "STP" and "Summit" stickers that give you power. NOS stickers give you wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiings!
