Wow thanks for writing exactly what my Lincoln is doing! Mine is currently stuck at a grocery store right now.
I hope it is just a bad connection. I have had the battery tested and it is "good". I took it out, put it on a charger and took it to a parts store to have it checked. I even tried jumping the car and still nothing.
It has had a starting problem over the last couple of weeks. So hopefully it was just something coming loose.
How hard is it to get to the starter? This is my wife's car. My Excursion has about 7" of lift and 37" tall tires. It's real easy to get to the starter!
I am assuming that I will need to jack it up to even get near the starter. Are the wires easy to check?
