no overdrive 1996 cad deville all other gears work. please help.

I tried searching no overdrive and no over drive deville with no help.So now I ask the community. My overdrive quit working 1st thr 3rd works fine and reverse also. A few times in the past I thought I felt a slipping in overdrive but then it disappeared. As of today no overdrive at all. I suspect some type of shift solenoid or controller. All info will be appreciated thank you. If there is already a discussion on this topic please provide a link, I was unable to find one.
Car is a 1996 Cadillac Deville Concours. Trans fluid is full and does not smell burnt.

Please guys any help will be appreciated. if theres a rebuild or fix article please direct me. I found something about a 3-4 spring but dont know if it applies to a 1996.

You really need to scan it and get the transmission codes. Had the same problem on 1992 Chevy and a $80 rebuilt TCM fixed it.
