The 00 Parts car has no heat, normally I wouldnt be concerned, but I am wanting to drive it to and from work until it warms up enough to let me pull parts..

I checked the coolant, levels are fine, bled the system via procedure, and checked fluid levels.

I can kick the dcc inside up to 90, and it just blows cold..

The kid I bought it from mentioned something about a flap under the passenger side, I cant find it, but does anyone have info on said flap?

I am going to take it tonight....heatless...and get codes scanned, to see what exactly is going on with the shutter in the tranny...

There are countless threads on here about this issue. Very common for these cars to have their "DCCV" fail during the changing of seasons.

To lazy to type in a list of questions asking about the symptoms. I'm sure Joegr will be here to the rescue soon enough.

No heat could be a stuck closed DCCV (they normally fail open), but it's more likely to be trapped air in a leaky cooling system.

Ignore all the baloney about blend air doors or flaps. Unlike most cars, the LS doesn't have one so that's not your problem.

Where is the DCCV located? I am going to search around and see if I can read up on the issue, thanks for your help joegr!

I have the same problem. Replaced DCCV and still have no heat. Looking at the Aux Water Pump Now.

Pics on the way....gimme a sec. Edit: Here you go...

So is there anything under the dash the could be cable driven or a motor or something of sort? I felt warm air on the way home somewhere under the dash, once I felt it I pulled over to find it and it stopped...

Any way of testing the dccv?

There are no flaps....so go ahead and put that thought aside. But, if you truly felt some heat, you may have air in the system. Who bled the system?

That I am aware of, there is no way to test dccv with it on the vehicle without going under the hood and if you go that far in, you may as well change it. Members, if I am incorrect, feel free to shoot the steps on testing the dccv without going "in" to get it. rockauto.com has the Airtex brand dccv for around $60. It corrected my issue.

You will know when the LS is putting out heat trust me.

Replace the DCCV.

The money wont be wasted because its a part that eventually fails anyways.
