undefined I was having a problem with overheating, well at least thats what the screen said on my 1994 MarkIII, when it said I was low on coolant I pulled over to check, it was full, the temp guage would go up to the red but go back to normal shortly there after, after a few weeks of this I decided to change the thermostat, now it heats up constantly and I have no heat, the thermostat was installed properly, could there be a sensor to blame for this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1st, take the cap off of the overflow bucket. Then, you have to open the crossover tube (black), located in front of the alternator and fill your coolant there. A 1/4" socket wrench usually works. Fill the coolant in the tube until the water line reaches the "fill line" in the overflow (plastic bucket). Put the cap back on the overflow bucket. Continue filling the black crossover tube until to fluid reaches the top. Replace cap. Start car and turn on heat for a minute or two. Turn off car and reinspect coolant level in corssover tube and repeat as necessary.

You may simply have an airpocket in the system and this should take care of it.

I was having the same problem! Found out I had sticky air blend door inside heater. If you pull down the glove box and shine a light at the black air box you will see at the lower left side of the glove box opening on the heater box a gray lever running to the left. Reach in and try to move it up and down. if it doesn't move easily then there is your problem. It should move some each time you bump your heater temp. up or down. I even tied a string on mine and let it fall beneath the glove box door incase the flap sticks again. Keep working it up and down untill it frees up. It fixed mine I hope it helps yours. Good luck.

Thanks Steve for the reply, I'll keep that in mind if it happens again, Byran "aka" Monster Mark had the solution to my problem. Again thank you, this is a great forum !!!!!

ok so what if the heat and a/c both dont work?
i may have an air pocket in the system but that should have nothing to do with the a/c.
