OK, so I have this 2000 LS V8 I bought last week. On the drive home it seemed to have heat in the cabin. Well a few days ago there was no heat on the drivers side and not too much on the passenger side. Now there is almost no heat on the passenger side and none at all on the drivers side.

I replaced the DCCV and also the old one was working fine. When switched to heat both lines feeding the cores are hot. The return line is also hot. There are no codes in the DTAC and the coolant level is at the normal range in the surge tank. Since there is no blend door and I have heat on both the feed and return lines I am at a loss.

Any ideas?

Yup, seems to be working. I even get a steady trickle from the heater bleed valve. Coolant is full at the fill port and also the surge tank (degas). I have good heat on the passenger side now but zero on the driver side.

BTW, to expand on the DCCV. I got a JY one. It was completely bad. I opened it up and it was gunked up and the orange nipples were powderized. So after verifying the old one was working (used a power probe and adjusted voltage for movement) I put it back in.

So since I have flow on the heater bleed valve I can only assume the DCCV may not work when under pressure. Guess I have to source a new one.

Yes, don't waste time on junk yard valves. Buy a new OEM one and you won't have to worry about it again for years.
