No Heat from passanger side.

Hello All,

2004 Lincoln Ls V6

I do not heat coming from the passenger side. I do have heat coming from the drivers side. Can this be a blender door issue? I have recently flushed the cooling system because I have been having the dreaded misfire issues. I replaced all coils and spark plugs. Any help will be appreciated.

Why would you flush the cooling system because of a misfire?

Anyhow, do a search for "DCCV". That's most likely your problem.

There's no blend air door on your gen II LS. It's either the DCCV, the DATC, a sensor to the DATC, or a clogged core. Most times, its the DCCV. I've never heard of a clogged core on the LS.
Do the diagnostics.
If you haven't been flushing the cooling system every three years, you may want to do that when you replace the DCCV.

Most likely a failed or sticking DCCV valve. Never heard of a plugged core either. You can check the DCCV from the connector on the fan shroud. If the ohms reading is between 10-23 ohms, the DCCV solenoids are ok, Then its mostly likely gummed up. I have the break down report if you want it.

Thanks everybody for the info. I recently drain the coolant because I changed the coils and plugs on the 1,2,3, side. I was having the dreaded misfire codes. Then I started to get the P0430 codes. I feel like I am throwing money at it but at least I know there is new parts going into it. The heat thing was baffling me also.

There are three coolant lines that come off the DCCV correct?
Should they all be hot when the car is at normal idle?

I have one that is cool to the touch and the other two are warm/hot. Does this sound right?

3 lines

the 3 lines are, 1 going to the passenger side of heater core, 1 going to the driver side of heater core and one return line. If you have the heat full on both sides of the car, all 3 lines should be hot. If one is cool then the DCCV is not letting the hot coolant thru the system.
 
One of the guys at the Explorer forum was having the same problem. He decided to try and clean the DCCV by using some Lime Away and water. It worked for him. He took the valve apart to find it full of sediment in one of the valves. He said that it worked great after that. Might be worth a try.

I will give it a try thanks for the info. The report suggested cleaning it as well.

I read the article and it was good. I am going to try and clean it this weekend I think. That is if the weather holds out up here in NH. I did put an ohm meter on the pins 1,2 & 2,3. I got read backs of 17.1 on each. On the hose side i have one of the top lines on the three outlet side running cold. I am hoping this is just a plugged up solenoid (according to the report). I will keep everyone posted.
 
I Removed the DCCV valve today and cleaned it according to the report. I now have heat (thanks Tireman) and it was easy enough to clean. Just follow the steps in the report that Tireman has and you will be fine.
