Happy new year
I just picked up a 2005 ls and I have a heat problem I first took of the dccv off and than the aux. coolant pump the aux. pump was bad so I replaced it and put it back together and bleed it 4-5 times now I was getting heat from the passenger side, so I replaced the dccv thinking it was sticking and re-bleed system twice still no heat from floor or defrost on drivers side, hot on passenger side. Don't see any leaking coolant, level staying the same. If I put it on recirc (last night) i was getting warmer air out of the drivers side. I have done a search and can't seem to find a answer for this one. Anyone have this problem? The blend door on my mark viii seams like a easy fix now that I have this datc LS !!!
Thanks, Rich

dccv

if you put in a new DCCV then that should be ok. you can run a self test on the datc,,,,,can;t remember the sequence of keys strokes to start, something like off and lower floor button, etc. do a search to find the answer. you should see all 8's across the digits, if not, record the error code and check it out.

you will always get s slight difference in temp on each side. check under the hood the three lines coming from the dccv to the firewall, all three should be hot when the heat is on. you can also remove the power the the dccv, this will turn heat full on.

I did the self test again today (its off /defrost together and than hit auto)(also you hit defrost to clear out an codes after you record them) and the only code I have been getting is 12 65 witch is a false code today I got a 27 98 code on my new dccv! so I refilled the system and did another bleed on the system and still not getting much heat on the drivers side, about a 30+ degree differance I had also ran the hose through the lines going to and from the heater core to make sure it was clean before I put in the new aux. coolant pump. My feet are tired of being cold ??? I also took off the floor vent and ran it through a cycle from floor to defrost and that vent is opening and closing. What next???
Thanks, Rich

The possibilities are:
1. Your new DCCV is defective.
2. There is a fault in the wiring between the DCCV and the DATC (specifically a short to ground).
3. The driver's side temperature sensor is defective.
4. The DATC is defective.
