I had a brake line blow, lost all pressure, that was fun. The front passenger brake line rotted out underneath the radiator and pissed all the brake fluid out. Spliced in new line, test drove fine. Went to work and I have no booster, have to pump the brakes to stop.
Got to work, checked fluid, it was okay but I could hear a vacuum hose sucking air and the engine was sputtering. On the back of the engine there's a 3 hose connector that was split. Taped up and zip tied the splits together, runs fine now, have brakes, but feels a little softer than normal. Pumped brakes hold firm with the engine off, so it doesnt seem to be air in the lines. I didnt bleed the abs though, I dont have the tool for it. Wouldnt you still feel air in the lines if the abs had air in it?
My main question is: What is that 3 vacuum hose connector thing called? Need to order one
I'm hoping its still sucking some air and that's why the booster doesnt seem to be working as well as it should. Brakes have always felt a little soft on it though. Is that normal for these?
Any other knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
