Nice Benz for sale on Ebay, cheap.

Looks immaculate. I can only imagine the maintenance and repair costs on that V-12 though.

It would be a nice weekend only car though.

And some of you think LS's are in the shop a lot? Go buy a Benz out of warranty and let us all know how you like it.

An ex of mine had bought a 2000 Benz (the little two seater..forget the name), Kompressor model. The thing only had 15k on it and it had to get towed from the Jersey Shore to Brooklyn, NY THREE times in the first few months she owned it for oil in the intake system/intercooler, etc. She finally got rid of the thing a few months later and bought an Acura.

Nice cars to look at, but I wouldn't take one without a warranty.

Why does that car have european plates on the front and florida tags on the rear??

It's a gray market car, not intended for sale in the U.S.

In the history section of the Ebay listing, it says that the car was first registered in Canada in 2000 and then brought to Massachusetts in 2001.

Depending on it what it's smog test is, you may not be able to register it here in California.

cool.. that would fly in miami cause we dont have car assesments on an anual basis.. but its too old for me

Really? Just based upon the antecdotal evidence of one person? I personally would most likely investigate the documented reliability (or lack thereof) history of a particular model (i.e. Consumer Reports and other forums) then base my decision upon that instead of just one persons experience. I'm not certain I'd judge a carmakers entire lineup based upon one specific vehicle. But I agree that it's a personal choice.

my friend has an 03 s500 and he has had no problems with it another kid i kno has a 98 c230 and never had any major problems... from what ive seen they are actually one of the more reliable cars

Yeah, based on one person. I didn't think I needed to sit here and fire off a list of people with certain credentials worthy of your acceptance.

My good friend Randy was a tech for a Mercedes dealer out on Long Island and told me to tell my ex to get rid of that car ASAP, and to not buy any Mercedes without a warranty. This coming from a guy that saw more Mercedes' in his time than R-BONES has sparked up some haze in a lifetime. Good enough for me.

You guys buy what ya want. Buy a high-dollar car without a warranty and you're just asking for it.

I have a co-worker here at my job in Miami, that owns a 2003 Benz, and hes telling me that he would of had gotten rid of the S*&T along time ago if hes brother wasnt a Mercedes Benz specialist. He says that the thing is always giving him probs and on top of that parts are expensive.

nice cars on the outside, but on the inside, the guages look like crap, the switches look cheap, just look cheap on the inside, newer ones are different but these older ones just look like their for the '80s.

I thought the Benz was pretty decent until they bought Chrysler (or merged or whatever they did)

A friend of mine bought a Kompressor because it was a Mercedes. What a joke! Don't get me wrong it was fairly quick but not worth the price and the interior sucked!

I would never buy a car with 90k on the clock. Unless it was something like a Nissan TT300zx. I would love to have one of those to tinker with.

The new CL class benz is HOT! But that hotness will run you $100k - $160k.... ouch that is not-so-hot.

i think the new CLS 55 AMG is the nicest benz ive ever seen. ive always like bimmers better but its just sexy. period.

sorry dont like that, but i would take the other one in the pic:D

As if the LS seems to be any better, and cheaper? Now, I havent had a Benz or anything close to that expensive, but Lincoln sure as hell isnt cheap.. 5 Bucks a Lug nut.. 30 bucks for the plastic piece that covers the liscence plate lights ..ack..
