Anyone got the part number for these 1 step colder copper plugs?

i was about to ask this too!

an actual part number would be nice, i went to every single part store down here and nobody knew what an NGK TR6 was............. :shifty:

I don't see the point of running colder plugs on a stock motor? I need the TR6's for my nitrous...

You need/should run 2 steps colder for nitrous.
especially when your first starting out.

one step colder plug is a good mod on a mark 8 because it makes the car a little more knock tolerant

with a colder plug you get a little more knock tolerance without giving up any performance.

AWFSA 22 C (one step colder)
AWSFA 12 C (two steps colder)
motorcraft PN's but good luck getting anyone to "admit" they are available.
Lonnie sells them at BOC

note the "C" in the PN designates a copper plug.

FWIW: I tried NGK plugs ONE TIME and that was when my car "launched a spark plug".
(not saying it was NGK's fault, but wasn't a risk I was willing to take a second time)
Many ford lightnings have also "launched" NGK plugs, ( I'm just sayin)

I just got some 22c's and it took me some time to find those!

and you still couldn't find the place that sells them if your life depended on it.
LMAO

that was a long drive for a set of good plugs tho..(lol)

I apparently have the wrong thermostat in my car(haha) so i ran the colder plugs..

I am going to be spraying soon too:shifty:

What's the advantage of running a one step colder plug?

i have the diamondfire e3 and i have launched one i thought they did a great job till that happened what is the best plug that i can get for it what about bosch platnuim plus 4s?

FUKK BOSCH!!! dont use them, ive seen many instances where they spit the porcelain out of the insert in the head, including on my t bird wayyyyyyy back in the day where it sucked it in and got lodged in the exhaust valve

Just say no to bosch plugs and 02 sensors.

The bosch plugs often leak at the compression seal.

I had 5 out of 8 spark plugs with traces of compression gases leaking up thru the plug body.
which is probably what they do just before seperating and launching peices.

I would stick with Autolite/Motorcraft or NGK plugs in these motors. I personally prefer the NGK plugs, compare them side by side with an autolite you will see the difference...
