Hey all, Just wanted to introduce myself as I have just picked up a 2002 LS6. Like the car so far, but looks like I will need to make some changes to it.

First up is getting my D3 installed and then building a new sub box. I also need to look at the brakes and am considering going with the R1 Concepts rotors/pads and need to change out the sway bushings. I am sure there will be more to do as I am just getting the feel for this thing and trying to figure any rattles or problems.

My previous vehicle was a 2007 TrailblazerSS that was fast, but terrible mileage and too many other issues. I co-run a site called TBSSowners.com that caters to that vehicle and has grown into the most popular TBSS site in only 1 year. There are at least 3 now...

Welcome. I had a Trailblazer LT, you're right the gas mileage is terrible! I was getting about 13 in the city. The SS' are awesome though, my friend has a white one...it moves!

Did you choose the V6 for better mileage?

Well, yes and for another reason...After the issues I had with the TBSS, I promised the wife I would not try to make it faster. If I got the V8, I would be more tempted to make it faster. I must pay off debt first before I can have another toy.

I was getting about 12/16 in mine and was heavily modded. Is your friend on the TBSSowners forum?

Not that I know of...
