Why would you need a spacer? +40 offset fits fine. I ran +38s with no problems up front.

And why do people spend good money on wheels, but spend nothing on good tires? Ugh.

mostly because i dont see alot of LS with deep dished rims, these have about a 2 1/2 inch lip ..well i might buy them from craigslist, the tires are about 60-70 thread left, so i will be replacing, the only reason why im considering these are because they are priced low, the person said he chipped up the rim riding without the spacer at first from the caliper rubbing on the front but he says its not noticeable.. i will have to see them in person though, just seeking advice and ideas about the size if its worth it more then creating damage to the rest of the car

If the rim hits the caliper, then that's not the correct offset listed above. Like I said, I've run +38 offset with no issues other than rubbing the fender liner out back. My car was lowered though. My Millies were +46 ET and fit like a glove. I have to think that the offset is less than 38 if it needs a spacer. Have the guy double check by looking on the back of the wheel.

i know, i would def. do the research before investing into these, thanks

I have 38 offset and they rubbed on the front calipers i just grinded the calipers down a little bit and they're fine.

definitely possible to need spacers with 40 offset

I had to get 1/4 inch spacers on the front to accomodate my 40 offset Rockstar Venezia 525's.

Those look pretty nice. Getting them before or after that new paint job?

How did the spacers work out trifelife? A buddy of mine wants to sell me a set of rims... Make: Status. Model: Vice... 18inch with tires. They look nice and i tried them on. They came off a Jag x type so the bolt pattern matched up fine. The only problem was that the wheels were just barely barely rubbing on the calipers. I really like the rims and he's offering them to me for dirt cheap. I was looking at different spacers available online along with grinding the caliper. I feel more comfortable using a spacer.... something about grinding the caliper makes me feel nervous...that and i would have to do it all the way around to all 4 calipers which seems like a longer process/ more work. I dont drive crazy, i dont race, and i dont plan on being in any wild police chases...lmao... so the spacers seem to be the easier and economical route. I was thinking either 5mm or 7mm... What do you guys think? Here is a picture of the rims.

The offset might be 40 and clear the fenders but the backspacing might be different thats why it rubs the calipers.

How did the spacers work out trifelife?

Worked and still work just fine. Same situation, my wheels in front were up against the brake caliper. The shop has spacers right there and threw them on. Aligned and balanced, rolling on 20's with no noticeable difference from the factory ride.

That reminds me, ROLNGTZ referred me to this great site ya'll have here. not sure if his username is the same here as on car domain.

trifelife; do you know what size spacers they used? There is a pair on ebay but their 12mm and i think thats a little too wide for what im looking for.

Thanks for the reply trifelife. I finally found a set on ebay for 1/4 inch spacers (6mm). Ill post a pic with the rims mounted once they arrive.

update!
6mm spacers came in on Saturday and the rims no longer rub against the calipers! :)
