Went out today and went 12.72@106. On 16" nittos with 18psi. Ran very consistent 12.7 range all day. Glad I have my Billetflow cover brace because I had 2 runs with tooth rattling wheel hop. Unfortunately one of them was against a blown cobra for 20 bucks we ran again and I beat him by 2 lengths.

Maybeeeee maybe not. Lol c'mon guys it was only a little 75 shot. Suprised me that it dropped a second. Still running cats on it too :p it'll run that on motor next year. I'm saving for a deck height increase swap build.

Now what do you think?

Well I thought maybe his funky converter was like a 4500rpm stall and the shortned runner cobra intake gave him a lot of power so it was within the realm of possibility lol ...

Im running a 3200 stall. I'll upload some vids for ya guys it was a no et night so the times don't show up on the board. Unfortunately I did'nt have time to find a blow down tube before so the car couldn't be run at the track with spray but tech inspection could not find my solenoids or nozzle so they didn't even know I had spray so I got off pretty easy there. I'm not running a bottle heater either so pressure was hitting 900 maxed so it was'nt even reaching it's full potential. Another reason why I felt it unnecessary to run a blow down as the pop off valve is rated for 3000 psi. I plan to hit low 12's next time out on race gas and a 125 shot and a nitrous specific tune.

What kit do you have? Also, what 60 foot times are you seeing?

I have the nx ford efi wet kit. I was only pulling 1.7 60'. I plan on setting up my rear with frpp 4.30s because my trap rpms are low in 3rd gear and the gear should get me a tenth off in 60'. Im pulling the cats soon and I'll be back at the track with the 430s in about a month or so.

Only 1.7 60's? I wish I could get my car to hook like that. I usually trap 106-108mph on the 19's but with terrible 2.1-2.2 60 foot times. I'm guessing you are basically spraying off the line with the 3200rpm converter to get the 1.7 60's...

Spraying full track length with a push button. Only way to go. I have the hardware and tires to back it so why not? Here's my solo run and the fail against the cobra.

When it's done right and you take proper measures it isn't a "motor killer" like everybody says

agree'd but a "push button" kit is not even remotely close to proper measures nor done right.

done right its absolutely safe

Okay? How so? I've used a relay. Made sure every wire is of proper size, construction and quality. I've used correct octane rating fuel for the amount of nitrous. Monitered timing, and whether the kit is push button, wot switch, tps activated or window switch is left up to the discretion of the driver. You can't say it's not safe or done improperly... Me personally I dont trust wot switches on these cars because of the difficutly of mounting it. I dont trust tps or window switch boxes either because of the frailty and possibility of moisture penetrating them possibly causing a malfunction... Not trying to stir up sh1t with you because I know you're the best at it I'm just saying you can't justify my system is unsafe or improper because it's how I like it. Also in my kit's instructions it has a reccommended diagram for push button wiring.

you take your headlight out? hard to tell in the video, if so nice touch

LOL. Yeah, I have a cobra c&l inlet pipe with an open element k&n so It pulls in more cold air. I'm using a friends 03 cobra fenderwell pipe turned down with a 6" k&n soon though so I wont need to do that.

no but telling a bunch of folks who dont have a 4r75..that a "push button kit" is a proper set up is just irresponsible.

90% of the transmissions on this forum dont even have the mechnical one way clutch..and what do you think is gonna happen the first time the "spray the whole" track??
95% of these cars wouldn't complete a sucessful wot 12 shift on spray.

the best nitrous users in the country, spraying 350+ or more..NONE of them have a push button kit.

push buttons are for purges, which is also useless on less than a 150 shot.

an experienced nitrous user could easily make a car survive with a push button 100 shot.
"experienced" being the key word..

JAM UP PASSES though...

and you talk about losing to that cobra.

hell just the fact you were in the same zip code deserves a pat on the back

you left right with him..and made a race out of it.

you made him work for it, and unless he's familiar with your car.. you probably suprised the hell out of him...

what are you monitoring timing with?

Old school ford ngs stars tester and made a couple short spray passes and checked spark plug burn pattern(once cooled down of course). Not a super efficient way but ya know. And that cobra was running 12.7s just as I was with 2.0 60'.
