I have a white pearl 2002 Lincoln V8 LS with 177,000 miles. My mother in law was the original owner and had it dealer maintained for the first 125,000 miles. My wife bought it from her and drove it until about a year ago when it started having reliability issues. We had coils and a used transmission put in, but when it started running rough again, we leased another vehicle and it sat for a year. I am now getting it back into shape for daily driving so I don't have to put miles on the leased vehicle.

Things which I have done recently:

1. Cleaned throttle body and MAS air flow sensor (rough idle solved)
2. Replaced sway bar end links. (One was just dangling)
3. Replaced front passenger wheel hub. ( tire shop could not align)
4. 4 New tires (Uniroyal Tiger Paw)
5. Clamped the hoses from the DCCV shut and charged the A/C. ( Not blowing hot anymore. Blowing cold)

Things planned soon:
1. Replace passenger mirror
2. Remedy the broken boots around the joints I noticed.( I think the hardware inside is still good.)
3. Replace the DCCV
4. Repair 2 inch hole in leather backseat
5. Tint windows

Anyway, I have learned a bunch here already, and thought it would be good to join, seeing how I plan on keeping and driving the LS for a while. I enjoy working on cars, but am a novice for sure.

Welcome. There is much to learn here. Have fun.

Do some research here for buying retrofit parts that have improved components. Timing chains kit with metal guides and tensioners, modified servos, and possibly other fun toys (parts) for your LS. My 02 LS has 216,000 miles. She's getting a bunch of new parts, installed by a great mechanic. His name is Devin Mason at D&T Automotive Specialists in Waukesha, WI. He is ASE Certified. He's the only dr for our cars.
