I've been lurking these forums for some time, finally had a problem that i needed help with. Anyways, now that i have that mostly figured out. Other than being unable to pull codes from the thing...
Anywho I have an 86 lincoln mark vii, which had 86k miles when i picked it up a few years ago for $1200. The history on the vehicle is interesting. the origional owner owns an italian restaraunt in ventura, ca. The people i got it from where the second owners. Anyway they say the origional owner saw a gtc right after he bought this car and sent it back to the dealer to have some gtc options put on...just the bbs wide rims and tires (245's all around), black on black interior and exterior, shaved emblems (only two are a little square in the grill and the trunk deck one). The second owners bought it from the first owner in 1988 after it sat in his garage for a year.
Side note, back in 2001 i worked on the first owner's scarab boat with twon 502 super charged motors...that was awesome.
The mark is in pristine condition minus some oxidation from sitting for a few years while i was away at college during the california wild fires.
Only mod i've done is double the output of the stock amp...just bridged it...didnt really follow what my buddy did but it sounds like i have a 10 in the trunk with stock speakers. K/n filter.
Future stuff, shift kit, exhaust and a new less restrictive intake duct, gt40 intake mani, along with the tb from the gt40.
Wanted but probably will never do: S/c kit, if i s/c it, she will go maf, a cam, heads, tuned headers. and maybe a fast bag kit if the stock suspension goes.
