Alright well I found this 2000 Lincoln LS V-8. Has small tear in seat, I gotta buff the paint a bit, Neither anything I cant handle. Its got 20" rims, 95,000 miles... $4000In dash DVD player, good stuff what not.

Heres the problem and could be a fuse but idk if this is common or what, but the display on the climate controls do not come on but the climate controls work, and the seat heaters do not turn out. Everything else works. Could this just simply be a fuse, or worse? I know the 2000's had their issues but idk hopefully this is an issue someone else has had and fixed. Idk what the fuse box ties into at what points but maybe it could just be one. Please let me know, I plan on purchasing it this weekend :D. They are such beautiful cars!

I am a forum whore so im sure that I will be lurking and posting alot. Looks like a great place. Appriciate the help in advance!

It's not a fuse, there's no separate fuse for just the display. It sounds like the vacuum florescent display has failed. The fix is to replace the DATC (climate control) module.

Alright. I guess Ebay will come into play as much as people like that place but ive always had good luck since I know who to buy from after about 8 years of buyin haha.

What about the seats? Is there a common Flaw for that? Are they broke or fuse maybe?

It's common for the wires that heat up inside the seat to break. That's probably not worth trying to fix. (If you do mess with the seats, be careful they have srs airbags. You wouldn't want to set one off.)

ugh alright. Ill check the fuse when I get it. if thats the case If its less than like 500$ I may get it fixed cause it gets really cold here. I have them in my 2005 C230 Kompressor Sedan and mannn are heated seats nice on my way to school in the morning!

We're still using the cooling feature on the gen II seats here, but it does get cold enough to use the heat setting for a few weeks each year.

I do like the cooling seat. Over the summer, when you sitting at a light and the leader seats start making your back sweat, just tunr those cooling seat on and BAM! Freshness, felt so good and fresh

hm, the gen I doesn't have this cooling deal does it? yeah I can't wait to go get it sunday. that supercharger thread is really motivating!
