New Member. 2002 Conti with 250K looking for tire suggestions

The NJ winter season has already started. My cheap Fusion tires are not going to make it through the next winter. Not sure if I should get snow tires, or look at some chains for this winter.

Bought the car just over 3 and a half years ago with 193K for $2500.
Most major repair, new front end Rack.
Latest repair, replaced an O2 sensor that went bad.
Has a 2 year sticker on it for NJ inspection.

Brakes shimmy a bit in the front. Not as bad as when I bought it, and not all the time.

Suggestions for tires or chains? Feel free to post in the poll.

Chains? Im in Chicago and never needed them. (they are also not allowed here)
