Originality but the conversion is cheaper
Every once in a while you will find one in a wrecking yard
And the guy at the counter won't know exactly what its for ,
Or hates his boss and don't care
Personally, I'd convert over to something you can always change a bulb for if needed. That's just me though. You can get some decent ballasts and some real Phillips bulbs. The pair of bulbs are $64 or you can get a complete kit for cheaper or go all out and get the whole real deal Phillips kit for $250 to the door.
Now, you're gonna have people coming on here screaming DDM tuning has kits but I'm going with the kit above next week. I can't find the pair of $64 bulbs now. Guess they sold out. If they say "Phillips Patented", they're fake. They should plainly say "Phillips Germany" on the base.
You can get a $40 to $60 kit and the bulbs are $15 to replace but if you go with DDM tuning, be ready for a two week wait. Ask me how I know. I found the bulbs but you'll need adapters too, I think.
My concern is how do these replacement fit inside the current low beam lens. All the replacements I have seen are round not a rectangle....something like Apollo 13 mission..square co2 filter round hole.
