new lens!

I hope so. That would be way more fun than photographing just the LS.

Tough thing is, I can't just go pick up the regular sluts. The girlfriend would get SUPER pissed. I have to talk her into a photo shoot.

No problem :D

Now, please help me to shoot in low light situations! Some pics I try to take that never come out properly, are taken at night, at outdoor music festivals/concerts.

You want to take a picture With or without flash ?

this is my new Fall picture

Or just find the deals. I got the above lens and accessories ( a retail value of almost 500.00) for 280 shipped. My camera itself (Canon Rebel XT)? 325 shipped. My 70-210mm zoom I got for 100 bucks. So I have a pretty penny's worth of equipment, for about 700 bucks.

Damn, all that fine detailing, and no way to show it off with nice pics... :p

Maybe you can paint your car marble, Pete Junior.

hmm, that would be cool, i wanted to do like a carbon fiber, like paint it black, then put like a mesh screen on it, and go over it lightly with silver, then clear it, its a nice look. maybe someday

if you marbleized your 300 you might just be the first, unless Chrysler hears me talking about this right now. :D

I pay My Canon XSI For 400$ Can my battery grip 200$can and my 55-250mm 450$ total for 1100$ :P

Pektel For you band show you can up your ISO for without flash or ISO 100 and set 3.5f with flash and 1/15 second make good picture with a clair subject and blurry background

That picture setted 3.5F ISO 800 with 0.3 Second

Wow, thanks Alex! I'm going to try that out soon! 1/15 second is a LOT easier than 15 seconds lol.

What do you use for a flash? I am in the market for an external flash. Speedlite 430ex perhaps.

sup Pete, great lens! as far as night shots i wouldn't go towards the low ISO numbers. the higher the better, but then you do sacrifice quality, and you get digital noise. canon have a better opening so you can deal with the low light better than my Olympus E-420. i have a couple lens', the zoom one (40-150mm) doesn't really get used that much to be honest. i take pics as a side-along hobby and don't take it too seriously but i guess i could take some really nice ones if i really put in the time. i have a lot of fun with my macro lens however. I'm big into aquariums and i take a bunch of pics of my fish and such. once you go D-SLR you won't go back to PAS. again, low light scenario's are a PITA to capture if you do not have the proper equipment. if you want an external flash that would be fine but when the subject is close, at a concert it wouldn't make any difference. aperture/shutter speed is your friend ;). if you want to take shots of your car i suggest a tripod so you can have the lens open for a long time to get some really crisp pics.

Here's a pic I took yesterday with the new lens. Full auto mode, and at 35mm:

You should have gotten rid of that leaf that is stuck to the bottom of the car.
