Hey guys, and girls, I have a quick question. I am looking at buying a second CHEAP vehicle in case my primary were to give out. I am torn between 3 cars and need to decide by Friday. Listed in order of interest. The first is a 160k mile 2000 Lincoln LS V8 in excellent condition, besides the typical misfire, for $1500. Next is a 135k mile 1992 Toyota Celica for $1200 also in excellent condition, once I slap a cheap Maaco paint job on its perfect body. Lastly is a 1989 Trans Am GTA (always loved these cars) in good condition, perfect body and paint, needing an interior swap and fuel pump. My only concern with the LS is the timing chain issue. Ive loved the look of these cars ever since they first came out, but ive seen soooooo many bad reviews about the engine. What needs to be done as soon as I get it as far as replacing the timing chain guides? is this a big job? how costly labor wise? Please don't let this be another forum where 20 people view but no one responds.

cheap does not equal ls with 160k miles on the clock.
i'd choose the celica.

that's my input. good luck.
