Looking to replace my shot fuel pump and was wondering which after market brands people have had luck with?

Really don't want to spend $400 dollars at the Ford Center.

Give me a minute to find a previous link that Quik gave me...

But off the top of my head I will tell you that the Ford GT supercar pump will work in the LS, but it does need a little modification.

Here we go. Found the post. When you use the GT pump, you have to modify the sock to fit. And that means cutting off some pickup filters or something.

But quik pointed me here:

http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/

you can just upgrade the pump itself. this site is great because you can order any offset, pickup size, sock, ...etc. even the plastic hose - which is very hard to find...

Thanks Pektel...Def gonna check it out. I'll have to tag Quik to see about the mods for sure.

No prob. Let me know how you fare. I stil need to do mine.

Thanks again..How much do you know about all this. My knowlege in the fuel pump department is pretty lean. I don't wanna end up spending more on a custom project than it's worth for the minimal gains upgrading my pump situation will provide. I am definetly interested, but I guess I need to read up alittle more before I were to go that route. I know Aitex makes a complete pump replacement kit over the counter at O'reily's for about $200. The Ford dealer wants $360. How much is it gonna cost to build a custom unit?

That sounds good. I am gonna have to check into this more. Preferably before I start pulling the car apart. I would like to be back on the road by the end of February. Usually I don't drive my LS in the winter, but the snow has been light and I Just moved to a different part of town.

Thanks for the info Pektel.
