New Front Suspension Support Brace for the Mark

Looks like it would be effective. The LS had something added which was very similar in concept very early in it's production and the LS is arguably one of the tightest Lincolns on the road

Any bracing is going to help, especially on our heavy cars with a stiff as a wet noodle unibody structure...

I don't understand how that helps with only a single mounting point on both ends?

Its about keeping to points from moving farther apart. One or two holes, wont matter much.

From what I have read, anyone who installed bracing could not have been happier doing it.

Yeah, so I have support without the clearance issue. I'm not sure how I would go about it, probably something welded to the firewall. In the rear it would be nice to get around the gas tank somehow.

Doing that brace on the front will probably give you the most bang for the buck, but if you can fabricate both could easily be done cheaper than just buying the front ones from super coupe.

I think I understand, you want to channel the body for the braces correct?

Yes, but I don't want to mess up the foot-space, or cut up brand new carpet, so.. I'll have to get the car up on the lift again when the time comes and look around.

Go to a Fuel cell mounted in the spare tire well and you will have all the room you need. The rear braces I made cleared the tank with no issues.

But a fuel cell in the spare tire well wouldn't get me more than 200 miles if I was lucky, I drive cross country regularly. There's no room for maneuvering a brace around the gas tank though. So who knows!

The flex is horrid when going into gas stations, etc, at an angle. Sometimes two tires are off the ground. Heh.
