Ok so twice now I have contacted different people on different sites such as craigslist and autotrader.com. I send the first e-mail off stating I would like more information about the vehicle. I get all the details about the car and then they quote "shiping is included in the price." After they say that they also quote that the sale will go through ebay. So im lost for words since I had 2 people tell me the same thing. Is this the new "Scam" from sellers?" All they want is my name and address and they say ebay will send me a statement on what to do from there?!? They also say that there is wither a 3-5 day trial period from when I have the car to decide if I would like to keep it or not.

What ya'll think?!?

Yes, It's a scam. Been there, done that.... I still have the e-mails they sent me regarding a Mustang Cobra if you would like to see them. They have a fake third party e-mail you claiming to be "ebay buyer protection services." They hack a legitimate person's ebay account to list it and then attempt to use an e-mail address from there.

yep thats what i figured, same thing with the protection plan and stuff. But i just had the weirdness of it happening twice to me in a row... haha

If anyone selling an item is not up front with the details that is an easy way to tell they are up to no good. It shouldn't be that hard to answer people's questions

My Dad's Ebay account was hacked a couple years ago. Some party sold a drum set under his I.D. My Dad started getting e-mails from the guy who bought the set threatening to report, sue etc. Felt bad for the guy who got ripped.
