This weekend i cleaned up the ls because it was lookin pretty bad due to rain for 2 weeks straight. so i went with a base coat of mothers instant detail spray which is supposed to remove surface dirt, then meguires deep crystal system polish ( step 2 in the 3 step system) and a top coat of Mothers Reflections wax. the car was looking good with just the cleaner wax and polish .. but when i added that mothers .. it looked seriously wet. all my neighbours and the cable guy came askin me what i was using.. great results. i heard about it on another forum and got it from pep boys for about 18 bucks. check it out guys . goes on and comes off easy .. pics below but really does it no justice. took me about 2 hrs :p its my hobby so it aint nothin to me.

let me know where to drop my car off at. will a case of beer do? its just so dam hot and humid here in south ga/ne fl. looks great

I cant believe you dont have the windows tinted??? I might try that stuff, black cars are hard to wax/polish.

thanx guys.. but yea its pretty good.. comes off easy with good results.. and i dont drink beer so a few packs of red kool-aid will do.. :D

Looks great, just got a black car again so I'm gonna try the meguires I have and see how that goes and than maybe try the 3 step process but this car is much bigger than the LS now so I'm not going to be into doing waxing and such for 3 hrs ontop of the regular 2 hrs to wash and what not lol. Thank god the car stays in the garage.

I used Mothers Reflections a few years ago. I still think Zaino is better.

still haven`t tried zaino yet. but i will in the future. the main thing thats holding me back is the fact that i dont have a garage, and i know zaino has to sit for set times for the best results. i just need somewhere that my car is enclosed furst then i can reallly put some time into it.

??????? Zaino works like every other wax/polish. I found it easier to apply and remove than Meguires or Mothers. Check out www.zainobros.com. There's a whole section on application.

And I have NO financial interest in Zaino.

yea i know it might be easier because i work with someone that ordered one of their kits and he loves it . but he was tellin me that they had to leave the wax or polish or some stuff on the car for a certain time frame to achieve the best results. i might be wrong though .. i just thought thats how it was.. if so, that would be the difference because with the ones i use now i apply them and remove within a minute or so as related to the possible hour or so for zaino. let me if i`m wrong.

As with any wax/polish, you have to let it haze over before removing it.

i understand that ... as u can see by the results of my car .. but as far as i knew you would have to let zaino sit there for a longer time then usual.. for example an hour instead of 1 minute. as i was saying before, i may be wrong but you are the one that use it so let me know if you dont need to do that or not.

Zaino now has a ZFX additive that allows it to cure faster, thus reducing the wait time after application. It's awesome, makes it much easier to get 3 coats on it on a saturday.

your ride looks realy nice but ya missed a spot  have you ever tried plexsus or honda clean, sprays on wipes off realy fast!! works great for the in between detailing

thanx alot man.. and no i haven`t tried those products. i`ll have to check them out whenever the next new product search begins..

he didnt miss a spot.. thats just a reflection... so when will u be coming down to miami.. i dont trust many ppl waxing my car.. im not exactly great at it (no patience).. last time i had someone try and clean my car they used something thinkin it was wax but it was rubbing compound.. kinda made my paint fade.. rest assured.. havent fixed it since...

lol.. oh man.. u serious? rubbing compound? jees man..that sh!# will jack u`r clear coat up if u dont do it right.just lemme know when u ready man, my wife is from miami so we can just take a trip.. but yea it does take alot of time and patience .. thank god my wife likes cars too because she will let me take as long as i want because when i get done she drives it and gets compliments from her friends. lol. so its all good by her... i just need some rims and stuff man then i`ll put more effort into it. and yea i didn`t miss a spot. i thought i did when i looked at the pic but when i went to the car it was gone.. so i guess it was a reflection

who you callin a kid.. :( lol.. its on the list along with zaino. all the othe rstuff is just readily available. i was in the mood to put time into it so i just got something quick. will try it in the future though.
