the p0430 code is a cat efficiency below threshold, the car is old and the cats arnt working within specs, ford has a TSB to reflash the computer to widen the specs a bit.
the p0301 has nothing to do with the above code. or an o2 etc, since its cylinder specific get a "noid light" set shouldn't be over $20. you unplug the injector and plug the light into the harness and start the car i bet yours doesn't flash. the injector should have constant 12v (with key on) and the ground is cycled by the pcm and im willing to bet the ground wire to injector #1 is broken somewhere.
you said the plugs were new, did you try swapping them to see if you got a bad plug?
