Need Transmission

Does anyone have a transmission for a 97 Mark VIII for a good price in the michigan area. Mine is starting to slip real bad in first gear and the shop wants $1100 to rebuild. This didn't start until i had the trans flushed because of the shudder.

Nows the time to upgrade. Buy an 01+ mustang GT tranny. Try looking on craigslist or Ebay. Corral.net is also a great place for mustang parts.

That is correct... upgrade... if nothing else a 98 Mark VIII tranny is the best of the years..

Is the 01+ Stang tranny a direct bolt-in or do you have to do any re-pinning or other mods?

I have a transmission out of a 96 mark 8 in the Detriot area. It is in perfect working condition but does have 93,00 miles on it. The resaon we took it out is because we are putting a t56 in right now.

comes with torque converter and flywheel.
