Need software after Do it yourself???

I'm thinking of replacing shocks/struts all around on my 2014 mkZ. I got an estimate from a trusted shop of just shy of $3000!!! I'm not going to pay that. Parts on line are about $800-1000. PLUS they said they may need to add some software to the car for these electronic controlled shocks. Can anyone here verify or provide guidance? If needed how could I obtain such software??
