Hi!

I am getting 4 new tires from my brother-in-law who had a 96 Ford Thunderbird....tire size: P225-65R16.
I have P225-75R16 on right now which is the correct size.......
Will the P225-65R16 Size fit my 98 Mark VIII?

My brother-in-law says that these new tires will fit but are 1" wider on the thread so if any problem it would mean a wider turning radious......

Help??? ....... Will the new tires fit???

Thanks!!!

None of those tires are wider than the others, they are all 225mm wide according to your post (unless you made a mistake?)
None of them are the correct size for the car either, which has 225/60-16 tires on it from the factory.
All will be taller (bigger around the outer edge,) and the 225/75-16 will most likely not fit and rub the upper ball joint up front.

There is lots of places online to read up on tire sizes and calculators etc that let you compare different sizes too.
Basically the first number is the section width of the tire (or tread width some call it.)
The second is the percentage of the width that the sidewall is.
Last is the rim size it fits on.

They will be fine, 225/75/16 is NOT the correct size though.
