I'm a fairly new member and have not posted before. I own a 1998 Mark VIII LSC Collectors Edition (Panther Edition). I've had it just over 3 years and love the car. It had only 43,000 miles on it. It now has just over 83,000. I have been able to make small repairs to it by reading this site and others like it. I have been having recent trouble with the car surging and sometimes stalling at stop lights or turning into parking spots. By reading this site on Marks VIII's with similar problems it seems that the problem must be the IAC valve or fuel filter. I would like to install new ones but have no idea where they are in the engine compartment. I'm not all that car repair savvy but will try as I have already been scaulded by a Lincoln Dealership when the air suspension needed to be replaced. Could someone refer me to a diagram on replacing these items. This is the best car I've ever owned and I'm 60 yrs old-

Thanks

Listen young man !!!! Get to this site before you start running around town and getting burn't. There are folks here that cna help you, and save some of your retirement money to boot. :p

Thats what I love about the Mark VIII--I am 38, and I love it too! My Dad, who is now passed, also loved the Mark--He would be 87 this year.

Amazing that a car can span 5 generations of owners, all who love the Mark!

Thank you all. Now I have some understanding about these replacements. I'll do them over the weekend.
