1)When you turn the a/c "off" but keep the vent blowing i am assuming the compressor shuts off and your just blowing outside air thru to the inside?
2)If this is the case then if you set the climate control to 60 does that eliminate any heat from the dccv to affect the air? Therefore if the outside air is 50 i should be getting around 50 degree air to blow thru using the vent.
3)Does the direction of air (defrost, main vent, mixed) affect temp in any way or just direction?
I am asking this becuase during the summer the a/c never seemed to blow as cold as it should, now during the winter it wont really get cold. Even with the climate control set to 60 and outside air being 50 the air blowing thru the vents is about 75. I already replaced the dccv awhile ago but i am thinking it is failing partially and not allowing accurate temp settings.
Any thoughts?
